In Memory of Sam Green
The J-AIR family is deeply saddened to share the passing of Sam Green, one of the voices who helped shape J-AIR from the very beginning.
Sam was with the station from its inception.
He was, at heart, a musician and a storyteller. Whether on air or on stage, Sam had a gift for bringing people together. He loved nothing more than playing alongside fellow musicians in his band. That same warmth carried into his broadcasting — every program felt like sitting across the table from an old friend.
Sam didn’t just play music; he shared the stories behind it. He didn’t just host a show; he created a sense of belonging.
For many of us, Sam wasn’t just a presenter, he was part of the fabric of J-AIR. A collaborator, and a steady presence who helped define what community radio truly means.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Sam’s family, friends, bandmates, and everyone whose life he touched through his music and broadcasting.
