J-AIR has been a volunteer run station since 2014 and without our exceptional volunteers we wouldn’t be able to continue to make Jewish voices heard every day!
It’s simple to get involved with J-AIR and there are many ways to do it.
Become a listener. The easiest way is just listen to our station on 88FM on your home radios, your car radio, live on our website or on the community radio app. You’ll find some great Jewish music, a variety of programs (in Yiddish, Russian, Hebrew and English), comedy, current affairs, Jewish affairs, Israeli affairs, politics and opinions. Check out our program guide here. Once you’ve tuned in, share your favourite programs with family, friends and colleagues and tag us @j.air.radio on instagram!
Become a presenter. Do you have an idea for a new J-AIR program? Tell us about your concept (including title), preferred day and time, number of hosts and your contact details. Be sure to mention any previous broadcasting experience (if applicable). We need a commitment for at least 12 weekly programs to make it a decent season.
Become a tech. We’re a 24-hour station so we’re always on the lookout for anyone with technical knowledge to produce programs, operate panels and produce advertisements.
Become a voice-over artist. If you think you have a good voice and can read a script, you may be ideal to back our house promos or advertisements. Just send us a 30-second audition recording (mp3 format)!

- copywriting assistant
- graphic designer
- social media assistant
- audio/video editing
- promotions/sponsorships assistant
- photographers/videographers (for events)
