Peter Wertheim has been involved with the ECAJ for nearly 30 years and is currently its co-CEO.
In an extensive interview on ‘The Israel Connexion’ Peter spoke about the outcome of the parliamentary measures to combat antisemitism, considering concerns about the nature of the legislation.
Peter advised how community members can make submissions to the Australian Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion and discussed the NSW inquiry that has considered measures to prohibit slogans that incite hatred.
We spoke of former PM Scott Morrison’s call for controls to be placed on the practice of Islam in Australia and what motivated PM Albanese to issue an invitation to Israeli President Herzog, who is being touted as a war criminal by very misguided anti-Israel protestors.
