J-AIR’s Walter Bingham, 97, has been named the world’s oldest working journalist.
“We are thrilled to inform you … you are now the Guinness World Records Title Holder,” he was told in an email on April 8 by the records management team. “Congratulations, you are officially amazing.”
Bingham, born Wolfgang Billig in Karlsruhe, Germany on January 5, 1924, is a Holocaust survivor and decorated World War II veteran who made aliyah in 2004 from London.
He also holds the Guinness World Record for the Oldest Radio Talk Show Host.
Bingham hosts Walter’s World, a weekly program from Jerusalem on J-AIR 88FM every Tuesday at 11am.
